Comments from students and others who have reviewed the culminating projects for A Template 4 Success:
When first staring we were a little unsure if we wanted to do this but once we started it was very exciting, changing different pages, posting our projects and hearing people feedback really gave us a new look on how our future will be. Thanks to Mr. Ward and Clintondale High School for helping us achieve what we have and taking us a little bit out of our comfort zone by creating this to show you. McKenna 2015-16
I used editing skills and many different types of computer software in order to create this extensive portfolio. Because of my new found knowledge of not only history, but of computer editing, I will be able to use these skills in my future. Whether a job meeting, a college presentation, or the SATs this website has prepared me for the future.

Thanks to the teacher that showed us what programs to use and how to connect it to the use of history. Thanks Mr. Ward! Nate 2015-16
Making this website taught me that I have to be responsible for my own work and to also take other peoples opinions and ideas into account when I'm doing something. My personal favorite project we did was the Powtoon. I really liked the fact that that site allowed me to edit certain things so that it became my own. Lastly, I want to say thank you to my teacher, Mr. Ward, for showing me all these cool ways to document my learning. Kailee 2015-16
He and many many other teacher I have, were trying to get us to develop skills to work in an ever changing world and because of this, we need to be able to innovate and be more computer literate. Nathan 2015-16
US history with Mr.Ward made us realize some things online aren't as hard as they seem to be and has opened up my thought process and creativity! We are very grateful we were able to take this class and learn many new things. Danielle & Kourtnie 2015-16
Since starting this project everything was made easier and I have to admit that it was fun getting to explore new things. Alexis 2015-16
This was a very interesting way to approach teaching to say the least. Jerrett 2015 - 16
This was quite the ride. As the year began, we struggled trying to process creating our very own website. The idea itself was crazy. Through taking it day by day and project by project though, we couldn't be more proud. We slowly began to grip the technology we were presented with and began to simply do things we were struggling with in the beginning. The end result was Ableen, a masterful name. A website that not only shows the material, but also shows the occasional flair. To be able to write something that millions could see was a mind blowing and unforgettable experience. Thank you for viewing. Ben and Alec - 2015-16
The joy of seeing everything you've learned, researched, and studied on a page/website is wonderful and it is something I will never forget. Janiah 2015-16
When I first started this class I thought it was going to be like all the others. I was afraid it was going to be one of those boring classes where you learn out of a textbook the whole time. When I found out we'd be using our own Chromebooks to make our own websites, it was like a huge weight was lifted off of my shoulders. This is a teaching method developed by my teacher, Mr.Ward, to ensure that the students are prepared to work and learn in our world's digital future. I enjoyed this class because you didn't have to take tests regularly. I learned that in the real world, you'll have to know how to work with others to achieve success. If it wasn't for Mr.Ward teaching me his Template for Success, I wouldn't know how to properly broadcast my knowledge on my very own website. I've gained a lot from being a part of his class, and the lessons he's taught me could never be found in a textbook. Madalyn 2015-16
Throughout this whole year, I have learned to do things I never thought I’d be able to do. Since Mr. Ward is my football coach, as well as my history teacher, I have grown and bonded with him over the year. I believe that this has set me on the right path in life. Sean Bianchini 2015-16
